Ten top-specification Plaxton Panthers are the latest additions to the fleet of WA & Shearings Holidays, Britain’s biggest coach operator.

For use on the company’s Premier Class holidays, the new Panthers have just 42 reclining seats to provide the highest possible standard of comfort for both WA & Shearings’ clients.

“Our Premiere Class programme offers our customers that little bit extra,” explains Jimmy King, transport director. “I am delighted with the quality of the new Panthers, which adds to the ambience we are creating on the Premiere Class holidays.”

The new air-conditioned Panthers, on Volvo B12M chassis with I-Shift automated transmission, have a purpose-designed servery and a floor-level walk-in washroom, which provides much easier access than a sunken unit. There is a rear continental door.

Other features of the new fleet include enclosed luggage racks with a suede-effect finish, a reversing camera, TV and DVD.

“We have a long history of supplying WA & Shearings,” says Kevin Wood, Plaxton’s sales and marketing director, “and these are easily the most luxurious vehicles we have built for the company. I am delighted that WA Shearings selected Panthers for their prestigious Premiere Class fleet.”
