Following the success of the inaugural PLAXTON Centro, T M Travel of Chesterfield is continuing to upgrade it’s 80 vehicle fleet with an order for a second, due to enter service in September.

The second Centro is based on the VDL SB120 10.8m chassis.  Passengers will enjoy the comforts of 40 Esteban Civic individual seats and a spacious interior. T M Travel livery enhances the distinctive look of the Centro exterior which incorporates high visibility electronic destination equipment.

T M Travel proprietor, Tim Watts is delighted with the performance of the first Centro supplied by Arriva Bus and Coach and this has been a key factor in the decision to take another, “We were the first operator for both of PLAXTON’s new bus models, Centro and the Primo minibus, and the overall performance of them has been very good. The Centro is now firmly established as a mainstream product in the competitive single-deck market. T M Travel second Centro will enter service on a variety of routes in Derbyshire and South Yorkshire and is being supplied by Arriva Bus and Coach of Cleckheaton.
